Job summary

STAR LUMBER & SUPPLY CO., INC. is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class A and/or Class B Delivery Driver to transport and deliver building materials to residential and commercial sites.

The role requires ensuring on-time, damage-free deliveries while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Daily travel, loading/unloading assistance, and strong customer communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Acceptable MVR.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers, truck-mounted forklifts, curtain-side trailers, flatbeds and Class B straight trucks as assigned.
• Deliver building materials to residential and commercial construction sites.
• Verify loads for accuracy before departure and confirm deliveries with customers.
• Secure cargo using proper load securement techniques and DOT requirements.
• Conduct pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
• Maintain electronic logs, inspection reports, fuel records, and delivery paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, yard personnel, customers, and sales teams.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials when required.
• Inspect delivered products for damage and report shortages or discrepancies.
