Job summary

QXO, based in Wichita, KS, seeks a CDL driver/load specialist to safely load, inspect, and deliver building materials. You will coordinate with dispatch and ensure loads meet DOT safety standards, maintaining clear on-site communication.

Required are 21+ years old, a valid Class A/B CDL, and 12+ months of verifiable driving experience. Conveyor truck and heavy equipment experience are a plus; ability to work outdoors and independently or with a team is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Conveyor truck experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
