Job summary

Heritage Landscape Supply is seeking a Local CDL Class B Driver to deliver products to customer sites and branches within a home-branch radius, with no overnight stays and overtime opportunities during busy seasons.

You will load/unload orders, maintain accurate delivery records, and comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations while working in a safety-first environment. Equal opportunity employer with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license.
• Clean driving record in last 3 years; incidents reviewed if any.
• Experience with DOT/OSHA safety regulations is a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to pass background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to customer sites and branch locations within a radius from home branch.
• Load, unload, and stage orders at warehouse or job sites.
• Maintain delivery and driving records with receipts and logs.
• Comply with DOT regulations and FMCSA rules.
• Assist with stocking, order entry, shipping, receiving, and related tasks.

Job description

Heritage Landscape Supply, is on the lookout for a safety-conscious, self-motivated team player to join our family as a Local CDL Class B Driver. As our Local CDL Class B Driver, your primary responsibility will be to safely deliver products to customers' places of business or job sites within a maximum radius of your home branch. Enjoy the convenience of having your deliveries start and end at the branch, with no overnight stays, and take advantage of overtime opportunities during busy seasons!

Essential Duties

• Prioritize safety above all else!
• Comply with all DOT regulations while operating a commercial vehicle
• Load, unload, and stage orders in a warehouse or job site environment
• Deliver to customer sites and branch locations, unloading products as needed
• Understand and adhere to the FMCSA regulations
• Perform additional related duties, such as stocking, order entry, shipping, receiving, and more
• Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining signed delivery receipts, recording tracking information, and completing driver log and truck performance forms

Requirements

• Valid CDL License - Class B
• Safe driving record with no hit & runs or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years; accidents and/or severe violations in the last year will be reviewed by HR and Management
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus
• Basic computer knowledge
• Forklift experience is helpful (Other type of truck experience ie: Moffett, etc.)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
• Able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
