Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a CDL-A Driver to join our transportation team in Orwigsburg, PA. This role focuses on the safe and timely delivery of metal roofing, wall panel systems, and related building products to customers and job sites.

Responsibilities include loading, securing loads, operating a Moffett forklift, and complying with DOT requirements. Training is provided; a strong emphasis on safety and customer service is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain logs and records.
• Verify load accuracy against shipping documentation before departure.
• Communicate delivery schedules with dispatch and customers.
• Ensure loads are secured to prevent damage in transit.
• Follow all transportation regulations and company policies.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with yard organization.
• Training provided for route and equipment handling.

Annual Pay Range: $65,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience, route assignment, and performance)

Bonus $8,000

Shift: Monday through Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A CDL-A Driver is a vital member of our transportation team, responsible for the safe and timely delivery of metal roofing, wall panel systems, trim, and related building products to customers and job sites.You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Safely operating a Class A commercial vehicle to transport metal building products to customer locations
• Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
• Operating a Moffett forklift for job site and customer-side unloading
• Performing pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections
• Verifying load accuracy against shipping documentation prior to departure
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, logs, and required transportation documentation
• Communicating professionally with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and updates
• Ensuring all loads are properly secured to prevent damage during transit
• Adhering to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
• Reporting vehicle maintenance concerns or delivery issues promptly
• Assisting with yard organization and trailer movement as needed
• Training: Route and equipment training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
• Previous flatbed hauling experience preferred
• Experience operating a Moffett forklift strongly preferred
• Knowledge of load securement procedures for building materials
• Ability to safely lift and handle delivery materials when required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Metal building products or construction material delivery experience
• Forklift and material handling equipment experience
• Knowledge of DOT compliance and electronic logging system
