Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is hiring a CDL-A Driver to safely deliver metal roofing, wall panel systems, trim and related products from Orwigsburg, PA. You will load, secure, transport, and unload materials, comply with DOT regulations, and communicate with dispatch and customers. Training will be provided; benefits start day 1; competitive annual pay with bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to safely lift and handle delivery materials.
• Knowledge of load securement procedures for building materials.
• Experience delivering building products and meeting delivery schedules.
• Professional communication with dispatch, customers and plant personnel.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to deliver metal building products to customer locations.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials per DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Operate a Moffett forklift for job site and customer-side unloading.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logs.
• Verify load accuracy and maintain delivery documentation.
• Communicate delivery statuses with dispatch and customers.
• Ensure loads are secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Adhere to transportation regulations and report maintenance issues.

JOB DETAILS

Annual Pay Range: $65,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience, route assignment, and performance)

Bonus $8,000

Shift: Monday through Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A CDL-A Driver is a vital member of our transportation team, responsible for the safe and timely delivery of metal roofing, wall panel systems, trim, and related building products to customers and job sites.You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Safely operating a Class A commercial vehicle to transport metal building products to customer locations
• Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
• Operating a Moffett forklift for job site and customer-side unloading
• Performing pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections
• Verifying load accuracy against shipping documentation prior to departure
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, logs, and required transportation documentation
• Communicating professionally with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and updates
• Ensuring all loads are properly secured to prevent damage during transit
• Adhering to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
• Reporting vehicle maintenance concerns or delivery issues promptly
• Assisting with yard organization and trailer movement as needed
• Training: Route and equipment training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
• Previous flatbed hauling experience preferred
• Experience operating a Moffett forklift strongly preferred
• Knowledge of load securement procedures for building materials
• Ability to safely lift and handle delivery materials when required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Metal building products or construction material delivery experience
• Forklift and material handling equipment experience
• Knowledge of DOT compliance and electronic logging system
