Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a CDL-A Driver to safely deliver metal roofing, wall panel systems, and related building products to customers and job sites. The role requires attention to safety, proper load securement, and professional communication with dispatch and customers.

The position offers full-time work, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a competitive annual pay range with a $8,000 bonus potential and benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license and clean driving record.
• Must meet DOT requirements and maintain safe driving standards.
• Experience with flatbed hauling preferred.
• Forklift experience (Moffett) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of load securement procedures for building materials.
• Ability to lift and handle materials safely.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a Class A vehicle to deliver metal building products to customer locations.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials per DOT and safety standards.
• Operate a Moffett forklift for unloading at sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain delivery logs.
• Coordinate with dispatch and customers on delivery schedules.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with regulations.

JOB DETAILS

Annual Pay Range: $65,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience, route assignment, and performance)

Bonus $8,000

Shift: Monday through Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A CDL-A Driver is a vital member of our transportation team, responsible for the safe and timely delivery of metal roofing, wall panel systems, trim, and related building products to customers and job sites. You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Safely operating a Class A commercial vehicle to transport metal building products to customer locations
• Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
• Operating a Moffett forklift for job site and customer-side unloading
• Performing pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections
• Verifying load accuracy against shipping documentation prior to departure
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, logs, and required transportation documentation
• Communicating professionally with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and updates
• Ensuring all loads are properly secured to prevent damage during transit
• Adhering to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
• Reporting vehicle maintenance concerns or delivery issues promptly
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
• Assisting with yard organization and trailer movement as needed
• Training: Route and equipment training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Metal building products or construction material delivery experience
• Forklift and material handling equipment experience
• Knowledge of DOT compliance and electronic logging system
