Job summary

Clean Harbors in Saginaw, MI is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to drive a range of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, with hazardous waste cleanup duties both on and off sites.

Two-week academy out of state is required with expenses paid by the company. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8–10+ hour days, and overtime after 40 hours, with travel up to two weeks for emergency projects and housing/per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements obtainable within 90 days.
• Able to pass background check, drug test, and physical.
• Must be capable of performing physical tasks per job demands.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks including vacuum, Cuscos, guzzlers and roll offs.
• Load and unload trucks; perform manual labor as needed on site.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports.
• Follow local, state and federal regulations; comply with DOT rules.
• On-call for emergency response on rotating basis; support site remediation and hazardous material handling.
• Attend two-week Academy training out of state; expenses covered by company.
