Job summary

Clean Harbors in Urbana, IL seeks a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs, handling driving and non-driving duties for hazardous waste clean-up.

You will prioritize Health and Safety, operate trucks, and perform loading/unloading tasks. The role includes two-week Academy training out of state (paid) and potential overnight travel; on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use mobile devices.
• Able to perform physical tasks and pass checks (background, drug, medical).
• Must meet respirator standards per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A trucks at customer sites as needed.
• Load and unload trucks; support field laborers.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports.
• Follow DOT and company safety guidelines and procedures.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
