160 Driving Academy is the nation's largest CDL training school with 90+ yards nationwide. We are seeking a Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from pre-trip inspection through the CDL exam, in yards and on-road, while working with a Lead Instructor.

This local, hands-on role keeps you home nightly and emphasizes safety and outcomes. You will join a team of instructors, cover at regional yards as needed, and help maintain a clean, well-run yard as part of your duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduation certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least 24 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Must be able to teach manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills using hands-on training in yards with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
• Track student attendance and progress; provide additional support as needed.
• Maintain training records, evaluations, and documentation.
• Report incidents and accidents to lead/information in a timely manner.
• Deliver a consistent student experience with the Lead Instructor and curriculum.
• Maintain yard/building cleanliness and assist with transferring trucks if needed.
