Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks an experienced CDL Class A driver to safely operate heavy-duty trucks, deliver compressed and liquid natural gas, and perform related yard and equipment maintenance. You will complete safety inspections, maintain DOT-mandated documentation, and ensure accurate delivery records for customer locations.

Requirements include 5+ years of CDL experience, HazMat and Tank endorsements, and the ability to pass DOT physicals and drug tests.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with HazMat and Tank endorsements.
• 5+ years of CDL experience.
• Able to pass DOT medical and drug tests.
• Good written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate a heavy duty truck and hitch/pull equipment safely.
• Perform yard work and routine maintenance as needed.
• Deliver compressed or liquefied natural gas and equipment to customer locations.
• Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections and document findings.
• Maintain required documentation and endorsements for hazardous materials transportation.
• Record deliveries accurately and submit driver reports daily.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Set up and inspect equipment at customer sites and assist with maintenance.
