Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Class A Hazmat Driver in Columbus, Ohio. You’ll operate a heavy-duty tractor-trailer, deliver compressed and/or liquefied natural gas, and perform pre-trip inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• CDL with HazMat and Tank endorsements
• 5+ years of CDL Class A driving experience
• Ability to pass DOT physical & drug tests
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy duty equipment
• Written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Operate a heavy-duty truck with hitch and pull equipment safely.
• Deliver compressed and/or liquefied natural gas and associated equipment to customer locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and document findings.
• Maintain required documentation and endorsements per DOT regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions and coordinate with management for vehicle/equipment repairs.
• Prepare driver trip reports and ensure timely submissions.
