Job summary

APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a truck driver to support heavy highway operations in Kansas. You’ll join a safety-driven team, load and deliver materials, and perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure on-site efficiency.

Qualified candidates will hold a CDL A with hazmat/tanker endorsements a plus, pass DOT drug screening and background check, and maintain an exemplary MVR. 18+ with willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather is expected.

Qualifications

• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
• Thrive in a safety-sensitive workplace and pass a “Fit for Work” physical.
• Hold a valid CDL Class A license; hazmat and tanker endorsements are a plus.
• Maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets company standards.
• Must be at least 18 years old to comply with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck to haul materials and support on-site needs.
• Perform thorough daily inspections of vehicle and maintain required documentation.
• Follow dispatch instructions, traffic laws and DOT regulations while driving.
• Load and unload materials safely, ensuring product integrity.
• Maintain clean vehicle condition and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Communicate clearly with team members, using signals and eye contact when backing.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members as needed.
