Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Class A CDL driver in Missouri to safely and efficiently transport freight to customers and distribution centers. The driver operates tractor-trailers, completes inspections, secures cargo, and maintains accurate logs while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license and acceptable driving record required.
• Current DOT medical certification required.
• Must be able to read/write English.
• LTL/City driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers.
• Transport and deliver freight according to routes, schedules, and customer requirements.
• Perform required pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load, secure, inspect, and protect cargo during transit.
• Follow all DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Maintain logs, delivery documents, and inspection reports with accuracy.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and vehicle issues.
• Maneuver vehicles at loading docks, yards, and customer locations.
• Report accidents, cargo damage, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and work area.
