Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Driver to support civil and underground projects in Arizona or on the road. This role centers on safely transporting heavy equipment and materials to project sites, with regular home time and occasional OTR trips.

You will operate various CDL-class vehicles, perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads per DOT rules, and assist field crews. Join a team that values Pride, Grit, and Own It.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and Medical card.
• Experience hauling and securing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate a variety of CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.

Position: CDL-A Local or OTR Driver (AZ)

R2 Contractors is seeking a dependable and experienced CDL-A Driver to support construction operations throughout AZ or OTR. This is a driving position, allowing drivers to be home regularly while playing a key role in transporting heavy equipment and materials to project sites across the region. With occasional OTR trips.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites.
• Operate a variety of CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment.
• Assist field crews as needed at project locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.

Compensation & Benefits

• $22-$32 per hour, DOE.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday -Friday
• Occasional schedule flexibility based on project demands.
• What types of tractors do we operate? We have 3-4 axle Kenworth T880s and 3 Peterbilt 579s for our sleeper trucks. We run dump trucks, water trucks, a transfer, a tub, and 2 belly dumps. We also run some step deck and lowboy as needed locally
• What trailer configurations and equipment do our drivers typically haul? We run step decks and lowboys up to 10 axles
