R B Hinkle Construction Inc is seeking a dedicated CDL Class A Driver to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from construction sites in Virginia. The role requires operating tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and lowboy trailers with a focus on safety and timely deliveries.

You'll perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, maintain logs, and coordinate with dispatch. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Class A experience in construction, knowledge of DOT rules, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable Class A experience in construction.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment and materials.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely, including tractor-trailers and lowboy trailers.
• Transport heavy construction equipment and materials to job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; document defects.
• Load, secure, and weight-distribute loads per DOT rules.
• Maintain daily logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Communicate with dispatch and project managers about schedules.
• Perform basic maintenance and assist with other duties on site.
