Job summary

River City Environmental is seeking a CDL Operator in Portland, OR. The role involves safely operating CDL vehicles, performing inspections, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.

The position offers hourly pay between $30 and $35, along with benefits such as low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k with employer match, and various incentives. Overtime, weekends, and nights may be required.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required and insurable driving record.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission truck (no restrictions).
• 1+ year CDL truck driving experience required.
• Experience in environmental/construction industries preferred.
• Able to work in confined spaces and lift 75 lbs+.
• Pass background check and urinalysis per federal guidelines.
• English language proficiency per FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-class vehicles (side dumps, dump trucks, tankers, roll-offs).
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and documentation.
• Load and unload materials, waste, or equipment as assigned.
• Maintain logs, manifests, and job paperwork.
• Follow DOT, state, and company safety regulations.
