Job summary

River City Rush Delivery, Inc. in Portland, Oregon, seeks a responsible Afternoon Class A CDL Driver to distribute products to customers. You will represent the company professionally, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate paperwork, while upholding safety and vehicle maintenance standards.

The role requires 21+ age, 1–2 years of CDL Class A touch freight experience, strong time management, and a clean driving record; benefits include health coverage and a 401k.

Qualifications

• Availability to work up to 14 hours a day.
• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow direction.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Good driving record.
• Minimum age - 21 years old and have a minimum of 1 to 2 years CDL Class A “touch freight” experience.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to work on time.
• Perform daily pre/post-trip inspection of vehicles.
• Operate vehicles in an approved and safe manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned/operated vehicles to the given standard.
• Some loading/unloading of freight of various weight.
• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain a DOT Medical card.
• Pass a DOT drug test.
• Fuel vehicles as required.
• Complete and process all paperwork: all bills of lading must include time, date, printed name, signature, and paperwork turned in daily.
• Check all freight for proper markings and take exceptions on all damaged freight.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse organization, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Wear company provided attire or appropriate personal clothing every day and take care with general appearance.
• Secure vehicles, buildings and gates as required.
• Promote good business relations with customers.
• Perform all other duties as directed.
