Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a CDL Class A Driver (Pick-Up) to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck on established routes. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM start, with 10–15 hours overtime weekly and OT paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours. Pay ranges from $23.00 to $27.00 per hour, plus a $5.00 shift differential; duties include pre-trip inspections and loading freight.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms.
• Drive to shippers and load trailer with freight.
• Transfer freight back to the terminal to be unloaded.
• Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.
