Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver (LTL) to operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks, delivering and picking up palletized freight. The role includes pre-trip inspections, maintaining DOT compliance, and assisting other drivers as needed.

The position offers Monday–Friday routes with 10–15 hours of overtime weekly, paid OT after 40 hours, and a $23–$27 per hour wage based on experience. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for CDL drivers.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms.
• Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers.
• Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.
