Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a CDL Class A driver to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck for delivery and pickup of palletized freight. The role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, overtime hours weekly, and a wage of $23.00–$27.00 per hour based on experience.

Must pass pre-employment drug screening and a background check. Position requires a valid CDL Class A license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, and adherence to DOT safety policies.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record.
• 21 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers.
• Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pickup as needed.
