Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a CDL Class A driver for our Fortify Building Solutions operation in Horseshoe Beach, FL. The role includes pre/post-trip inspections, loading/unloading, and ensuring DOT compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 2 years of commercial driving experience, a clean record, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend work may be required and a benefits package is offered with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• 2 years of commercial truck driving experience required (military DD214 acceptable).
• Clean driving record.
• Willing to tarp loads with Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment.
• Report any necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Load and unload using Manitou or Moffett.
• Verify loads before leaving facility or site.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods.
• Occasional weekend work and flexible hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday

This position sits within our Fortify Building Solutions business, which serves the pre-engineered metal buildings, metal roof and wall systems, and steel building components industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional Weekend work
• Flexible work hours
• Other duties as assigned

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Operate trailer mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
