Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a delivery driver to transport building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites. The role involves long-haul routes with some local deliveries, pre/post-trip inspections, and strict adherence to DOT guidelines.

Requires a valid Class A CDL and at least 2 years of commercial driving experience with a clean driving record. Weekend work and flexible hours may be needed.

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience acceptable).
• Clean driving record is required.
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarps and strap flatbed loads.
• Operate trailer-mounted forklift.

Responsibilities

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Sign-on Bonus: $8,000

Shift: Sunday - Friday, this position will primarliy be over the road with some local deliveries.

This position sits within our Fortify Building Solutions business, which serves the pre-engineered metal buildings, metal roof and wall systems, and steel building components industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position some Weekends may be required based on business needs.
• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Occasional Weekend work
• Flexible work hours
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Operate trailer mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
