Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Driver to transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers and job sites in the Horseshoe Beach, FL area.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL and a minimum of two years of truck driving experience. The position includes delivering to pre-engineered metal building components and related products, with duties spanning inspections, loading/unloading, and strict adherence to DOT safety guidelines.Weekend work may be

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report needed repairs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
• Verify loads before leaving facility or site.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday
Site Address: 4020 SW 449th St., Horseshoe Beach, FL 32648

This position sits within our Fortify Building Solutions business, which serves the pre-engineered metal buildings, metal roof and wall systems, and steel building components industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position some Weekends may be required based on business needs.

• Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
