Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a route driver to operate a pickup with trailer, delivering and swapping carts for residential customers. You will inspect equipment, conduct pre/post-trip checks, and maintain logs while interacting with customers along routes.

The role requires a CDL or valid driver’s license, 21+ years old, and the ability to operate safely in outdoor environments. Benefits include health plans and 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is desired.
• Possess valid CDL (Class A or B) or driver’s license; may vary by location.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Able to perform pre/post-trip inspections and operate carts safely.

Responsibilities

• Drives a pickup truck with trailer along designated routes to deliver, swap, or retrieve carts.
• Delivers carts to residential locations at curbside or back door.
• Inspects carts and evaluates locations for safety per company standards.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submits vehicle reports.
• Loads/unloads carts; uses forklift as needed.
• Interacts with customers and reports issues to management.
• Maintains logs, route sheets, and vehicle condition reports as required by law.
• Follows safety policies and company regulations; performs other duties as assigned.
