General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. in North Kingstown, RI seeks an Employee Transit Operator to transport employees on designated routes, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure safety and compliance with transit regulations.

The role includes assisting passengers, communicating delays, and coordinating with supervisors. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid CDL Class B with Passenger endorsement, and the ability to work extended hours on multiple shifts.

Formación

• Must be able to manage passengers and stay composed in transit
• Excellent verbal communication with passengers and supervision
• Strong awareness of road conditions and traffic patterns

Responsabilidades

• Operate 44-passenger buses to transport employees along designated routes
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle before transporting passengers or material
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and transit regulations
• Assist passengers by answering route inquiries, announcing stops and maintaining an orderly environment
• Communicate route delays, traffic disruptions and emergencies with Transportation Supervisor
