Job summary

Denton County Transportation Authority is hiring CDL bus operators. The hourly rate starts at $21.34 per hour with a hiring bonus for CDL licensed candidates. The Bus Operations Facility is at 1101 Teasley Lane, Denton, TX.

Operators provide safe, reliable transportation, perform safety checks, collect fares, assist passengers, and coordinate with dispatch to keep on-time service. Must be 21+, hold a Texas Class B CDL with P and Air Brake endorsements, and be ready to work all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements.
• Must have a clean driving record and high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of driving history preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate transit buses on designated routes and shifts.
• Ensure passenger safety and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Collect fares and provide courteous customer service.
• Communicate with dispatch to maintain on-time service.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and accurate daily records.
