Job summary

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) seeks a professional bus operator to safely operate revenue and non-revenue vehicles and to deliver dependable service across the Dallas service area.

You will communicate via radio, assist riders, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate passenger counts while adhering to ADA requirements and DART policies. A CDL-B with passenger endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years' driving experience and one year in customer service.
• Valid Texas CDL Class-B with passenger endorsement; clean driving record.
• DOT medical exam and pre-employment drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates DART buses on prescribed routes.
• Provides accurate customer information and announces stops.
• Operates farebox and maintains passenger counts.
• Completes accident/incident reports as needed.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
