Job summary

Ratp is seeking a Bus Operator (CDL with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements) to safely transport passengers on city and highway routes. This full-time, non-exempt role pays 25.00 per hour and requires a valid SC Class B CDL with the appropriate endorsements, plus a clean driving record.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, assist riders, including those with disabilities, and coordinate with dispatch to manage detours and incidents.

Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina Class B CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements.
• DOT Physical, Drug Test, and Background Check clearance.
• Ability to meet safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate buses safely on city and freeway routes.
• Assist passengers including those with disabilities using wheelchair lift.
• Collect fares and document per procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Communicate with dispatch and relay detour or incident information.
