Job summary

Bi-State Development seeks Full Time Bus Operators to join its Metro Transit team. The role requires a Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and no AirBrake restrictions, delivering safe, friendly service to riders and communities in the region.

Starting pay is $23.60/hour with a uniform allowance and an extensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off, plus opportunities for bonuses and advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent accepted.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass CDL exam before start of training.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum of three years related driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives bus to transport passengers over routes according to time schedules.
• Availability to work a maximum of 28 hours per week.
• Operates bus safely and professionally.
• Answers questions regarding service, routes, fares, and points of interest.
• Maintains good relations with the public.
• Announces stops and assists passengers as needed.
• Reads time schedules and instructions and follows them.
• Inspects bus before trips and reports issues.
