Transit Management of Charlotte is hiring Bus Operators with Class A or B CDL and Passenger Endorsement (or CDL Permit with Passenger Endorsement). Route duties include safe operation of buses, fare collection, and assisting riders with accessibility needs.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, reading schedules and maps, and using AVL/APC/fare-box systems. Training lasts 8 weeks; starting wage is $24.96/hr with benefits after onboarding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess and maintain Commercial Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement or CDL Permit with Passenger Endorsement.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact courteously with the public.

Responsibilities

• Operate CATS Transit Buses safely on prescribed routes.
• Collect fares and transfers per CATS procedures.
• Provide safe, courteous, timely, and dependable service to customers.
