Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Bus Driver to operate a 44-seat passenger bus on Fort Sill Army installation in OK. The role involves transporting military personnel per schedule, managing passenger comfort, and reporting delays or incidents.

The job requires a valid CDL A or B, a clean driving record, ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test, and CAC access. It is an on-site position with a retention bonus and health benefits.

Safely and compliantly drives 44 seat passenger bus to transport military passengers over specified routes to local points on Fort Sill Army installation, according to time schedule. Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort. Complies with local traffic regulations, and reports delays or accidents to transportation motor pool (TMP).

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must have current and valid CDL A or CDL B license.
• Clean driving record for past seven (7) years.
• Ability to pass a DoT physical.
• Valid and current medical card or insurance equivalent.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result, obtain and maintain a CAC.
• Applicant must possess a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver’s license.

Desired Qualification:

• Completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 88M – Motor Transport Operator desired.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, reaching, and operating in tiring positions.
• Periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
• Personal protective equipment (e.g., eye protection, gloves) may be required.

Pay Rate & Retention Bonus:

• SCA $23/hour and $250 Retention bonus after successfully completing 90 days employment. $5.09/HR health and welfare benefits.
