Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a licensed CDL driver to transport military personnel on Fort Sill Army installation, ensuring safety and punctuality. You will perform pre-trip inspections, comply with all DOT and installation rules, and coordinate with dispatchers to maintain accurate schedules.

Responsibilities include loading personnel safely, reporting issues, and maintaining logs. A valid REAL ID and CAC access are required, with occasional overtime and shift variability.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid CDL A or CDL B license.
• Clean driving record for past seven years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Valid and current medical card or insurance equivalent.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result, obtain and maintain a CAC.
• Applicant must possess a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued driver's license.

Job description

Safely and compliantly drives 44 seat passenger bus to transport military passengers over specified routes to local points on Fort Sill Army installation, according to time schedule. Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort. Complies with local traffic regulations, and reports delays or accidents to transportation motor pool (TMP).

Desired Qualifications:

• Completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 88M - Motor Transport Operator desired.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, reaching, and operating in tiring positions.

• Periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

• Personal protective equipment (e.g., eye protection, gloves) may be required.

Pay & Benefits:

• SCA $23/hour and $250 Retention bonus after successfully completing 90 days employment.

• Hours per Week - Full Time, 40 hours a week.
