Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking CDL drivers who want more than a driving job, offering paid training to become part of our lifesaving blood collection team. You will transport equipment to drives, interact with donors, and grow healthcare skills in a respected humanitarian organization.

Starting pay is $25/hour with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Flexible schedules include mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays, with potential overnight travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills required.
• Current valid Class A or B CDL and good driving record; experience driving large vehicles preferred.
• DOT certification required; must pass DOT physical and obtain medical certification (1 year+).
• Physical requirements include lifting, long hours, and variable schedule; height may be a factor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading/unloading and setup/breakdown of equipment for blood drives.
• Build relationships with volunteer blood donors and provide excellent customer service.
• Receive paid training to perform blood collections and donor care.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory standards are followed.
• Deliver lifesaving blood products to patients who rely on them.
