Job summary

The American Red Cross in Saint Paul, MN is seeking individuals to join as blood donation support roles, using CDL and customer service skills to assist with every step of the collection process. You will transport equipment, set up collection sites, and ensure a welcoming environment for donors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with Class A or B CDL is required.
• DOT certification is required and a medical certification of at least one year is needed.
• Physical requirements include lifting and long hours; ability to operate Red Cross vehicles safely.
• Basic computer skills are required; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport blood collection equipment and set up tear down at sites with the team.
• Connect with donors, listen to stories and explain the impact of donations.
• Create a welcoming environment so donors feel comfortable returning.
• Be detail oriented to meet goals and regulatory requirements for safe transfusion.
