Job summary

WeDriveU is hiring Transit Drivers to provide safe, reliable transportation across various routes. You will operate a range of vehicles, maintain routes on time, and ensure passenger safety and comfort. The role requires adherence to safety policies and effective communication with passengers and team members.

The position offers full-time hours, competitive pay, and extensive company benefits. Paratransit duties may apply per location requirements, with training provided to ensure top service

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, all valid state licenses and certifications to operate company vehicles.
• Must possess a CDL B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements.
• Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening.
• Extensive knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist passengers when necessary.
• Must complete training and attend safety meetings to remain qualified.
• Compliance with all applicable company and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and reliable transportation by operating position-specific vehicles.
• Reports maintenance problems and ensures the vehicle is safe to operate.
• Keeps to assigned routes and maintains on-time performance.
• Assists passengers during boarding, disembarking and in case of emergency.
• Completes required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Maintains professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Promotes company goodwill and cooperates with colleagues and customers.
• Prepares vehicle for inclement weather and uses equipment safely.
• Other duties as assigned.
