Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a CDL-B Driver to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. You will ensure the vehicle complies with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports.

Responsibilities include pre/post-operation inspections, loading refuse, serving customers on assigned routes, and adhering to safety guidelines. A Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes to the disposal site and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Load/refuse and operate the packer blade, dispose of material at the designated facility and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and report safety issues through standard reports.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and complete route/productivity sheets and VCRs daily.
• Follow all required safety policies and participate in the ReSOP program.
