Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, daily vehicle reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Ideal candidates will perform pre- and post-inspections, service designated routes, and maintain vehicle readiness while interacting professionally with customers and dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to operate heavy trucks on designated routes safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle per policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes to service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag accordingly.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean spills per safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and minimize downtime with routine cleaning of packer blade and body.
• Complete route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other required reports.
• Maintain productivity standards to service customers timely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate time management, follow-through, and trustworthy conduct.
