Job summary

Republic Services in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The role requires pre- and post-trip inspections, adherence to safety standards, and accurate reporting of vehicle condition reports daily.

You will read route sheets, service customers on your designated route, and maintain professional interactions with customers, dispatchers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks.
• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Report safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes and service customers as identified.
• Load refuse using controls, operate the packer, and dispose at the facility.
• Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers and colleagues daily.
• Tag unsatisfactory waste containers and monitor waste quality.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and minimize downtime via routine checks.
• Complete route productivity sheets and required reports.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
• Demonstrate time management, reliability, and adherence to company policies.
