Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services to customers. You will ensure the vehicle meets safety standards, complete daily vehicle condition reports, and uphold regulatory requirements on all routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure tires, fluids, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes and service each customer per the route sheet or as assigned by dispatch.
• Load refuse with appropriate controls, operate the packer/compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues to ensure timely and professional service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in the ReSOP program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
