Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Relief Driver with a CDL B to safely operate a collection truck and provide reliable waste removal services to customers. The role requires adherence to safety standards and company policies, with daily vehicle checks and accurate reporting.

You will follow dispatch instructions, interact professionally with customers, and help uphold our safety and service commitments across assigned routes.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.
• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Strong safety consciousness and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Safely operate the truck along the designated route and service each customer.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and clean spills per safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime and complete required reports.
