Airgas is hiring a Local Delivery Driver (CDL B) in South Plainfield, NJ (Plant). This day-shift role includes driving responsibilities, loading/unloading service trucks, and timely deliveries with adherence to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL B with Hazmat endorsement (or willing to obtain).
• Maintain driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or similar incidents in last 3 years.
• Able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Able to lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with equipment.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience or recent trucking school completion.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Vehicle Compliance: maintain safe driving record, licensing, safety policies, PPE, and DOT regulations.
• Delivery and Logistics: loading/unloading, on-time deliveries, and accurate load documents.
• Administrative Tasks: maintain records, pull orders, and process payments.
• General Duties: assist customers with inventory and delivery needs; may require overtime.
