Job summary

Airgas in Hillsborough, NJ seeks a Class B Local Delivery Driver to safely deliver dry ice to customers on routes including Bronx, Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn and more. The shift runs Sunday 5am-1pm and 3am-5am start Monday–Thursday, with a CDL B liftgate truck.

You will load/unload, verify loads, obtain signatures, and maintain DOT/OSHA compliance. Airgas offers comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with match, tuition assistance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
• Valid driver’s license, medical card and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or accidents in 3 years, or a mix.
• No DUI in the last seven years and ability to work drug-free.
• Able to lift 75 lbs and move 125 lbs with equipment.
• 1 year of CDL driving in last 5 years or proof of recent trucking school.

Responsibilities

• Safely navigate delivery vehicles to provide dry ice to customers.
• Load/unload using forklift or pallet jack; ensure load matches manifest.
• Obtain customer signatures and manage return of empty boxes.
• Provide customer service and relay feedback to the Branch Manager.
• Conduct pre/post trip reviews and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Comply with DOT/OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
• Ensure cargo stability and safety during transit.
