Job summary

Sysco seeks an experienced delivery driver to run daily routes, load and unload products, and assist with loading as needed. You will follow a designated route, communicate with customers, and maintain accuracy in deliveries while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, safe driving under various conditions, and coordination with the Transportation Department for efficient operations. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• One year of route delivery experience or driving a straight truck.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License – Class B; Class A preferred.
• English language proficiency for customer interaction and reporting.
• Ability to meet safety requirements and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Transport product down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; communicate discrepancies.
• Handle shorts calls and return communications effectively.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and Sysco policies.
