Job summary

Sysco in Canton, SD is seeking a driver to run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading at each stop as directed by the Transportation Department Manager.

You may assist with loading, palletizing, and other duties. Adherence to safety rules and pre-trip inspections is required, along with strong customer relations and problem resolution skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL and clean driving record.
• One-year route delivery experience.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to understand highway signs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 80 lbs. infrequently.

Responsibilities

• Operate routes efficiently and meet or exceed designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Lift, push, or move product up to 75 pounds; stack pallets with a hand cart.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures; communicate discrepancies or returns.
• Assist with loading trucks, palletizing product, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
