Job summary

The City and County of Denver, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, Wastewater Management Division, is seeking an Equipment Operator I to support construction, maintenance, and operation of the City's wastewater systems. You will perform light- to medium-sized equipment operations, conduct pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain records in a fast-paced public works setting.

This full-time role reports to the DOTI Wastewater Building and runs Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Two years of general labor experience with at least six months operating light to medium equipment.
• CDL-B license with endorsements required at time of application.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and in urban environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate light- to medium-sized equipment to support construction and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections per federal guidelines.
• Monitor equipment performance and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain trip logs, reports, and equipment records accurately.
• Respond to public inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
• Participate in snow removal operations as needed.
