Job summary

Airgas in Thomasville, GA is hiring a CDL B Driver & Counter Sales to join our retail shop. This role combines driving responsibilities with inside sales to support walk-in and phone customers, ensuring accurate orders and timely deliveries.

You will operate a 20-ton truck, load cylinders, assist customers, process payments, and help maintain a safe showroom environment. The position offers a steady schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HazMat endorsement (or able to obtain within 60 days) and Airbrake endorsements.
• Maintain valid driver’s license, medical card and endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or a combination of one conviction and one at-fault accident.
• No DUI within the last seven years.
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Be able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with equipment.
• Must be able to meet all job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL B truck to deliver products to customers, including cylinders and hard goods.
• Assist walk-in and phone customers by understanding needs and recommending products.
• Process payments and accurately enter sales in the system; assist with wrapping, bagging and loading.
• Follow established safety procedures for cylinder handling and storage.
• Maintain a welcoming showroom environment for customers and team.
• Load, deliver and unload goods to customer sites and perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
