Airgas in Thomasville, GA, is hiring for a CDL B Driver & Counter Sales role. The position combines inside sales support with back-up driving duties, including delivering cylinders and hard goods in a 20-ton truck, serving walk-in and phone customers, and ensuring safety and accuracy in daily transactions.

This role requires a valid CDL B with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements, the ability to lift 75 lbs, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Maintain valid driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in last 3 years (or combo).
• No DUI in last seven years.
• Must lift 75lbs and move 125lbs with equipment.
• 1 year of CDL driving in last 5 years or proof of trucking school completion in last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Drive a CDL B truck to deliver products to customers.
• Assist walk-in and phone customers to identify products and locate merchandise.
• Process payments and enter sales; manage payments and assist with loading.
• Wrap and bag purchases and help customers load merchandise into vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures for cylinder handling during exchanges and storage.
• Maintain a welcoming showroom environment for customers and team.
• Load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders at customer sites.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
