Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for residential trash and recycling pickups. You will drive around 150 miles from home, inspect vehicles, and report maintenance needs while staying safety-focused.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a clean MVR with CDL A/B. Weekly pay, life insurance, retirement match, PTO, and discounts are offered.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a waste hauling truck covering roughly 150 miles from home.

• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Carry out additional duties as needed.

Job description

Reports To: Operations Supervisor and/or Operations Manager

As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, you operate a waste hauling truck to provide residential trash and recycling pick up. Operating around 150 miles of your home, you lift and carry residential waste and deposit into a compactor. Throughout your day, you are attentive to safety and are sure to report any defects, accidents, or violations. You inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report preventative maintenance needs to management team. Each day, you are happy to be on the road and not stuck in an office.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Safely operate around 150 miles of home
• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report any and all defects, accidents, or violations
• Carry out other duties as needed or instructed

Shift/Schedule:

• Home Daily
• Monday-Friday
• Additional hours may be needed
• Shift is 10-12 Hours

Qualifications:

• Class B driving experience preferred
