Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. (AWG) is hiring a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Appleton, Wisconsin. You will load, transport and deliver cylinders and gases, maintaining accurate paperwork and DOT compliance. The role requires Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a clean driving record. AWG offers strong benefits and a $3,500 sign-on bonus.

The driver will handle loading/unloading, keep trip logs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while serving customers and branches across the region.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent. Class B CDL required with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test.
• Ability to communicate with customers.
• Drug Free work environment.

Responsibilities

• This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders, CO2 and cynogenic liquids and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled
• Maintain electronic trip-logs
• Maintains Cleanliness Of Vehicle
• Performs Other Duties As Assigned
