Job summary

Construction Resources is seeking a Delivery Truck Driver in the Cranbury Township area to safely operate a heavy-load truck and deliver materials to customer locations. You will load and secure cargo, complete paperwork, and manage deliveries across distribution centers with strong attention to safety and accuracy.

The role requires a CDL A or B, 2+ years of driving, ability to operate manual transmissions, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL A or B with good driving record.
• 2+ years of truck driving experience with a safe record.
• Able to operate manual transmission trucks.
• Experience with gate lift and electric pallet jack.
• Experience handling commercial and residential deliveries.
• Willingness to travel; pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a heavy-load truck.
• Ensure material is secured at start and after each delivery.
• Complete and return customer paperwork at end of shift.
• Collect and document money with customer paperwork.
• Report issues to dispatch.
• Perform daily truck inspections (pre-and post-trip).
• Seek guidance from supervisor on non-routine issues.
• Inspect truck and equipment to keep them in good condition.

Job Description

The Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the company’s truck with a typical weight capacity of 30-55,000 pounds (GVW). This role is responsible for all functions related to the vehicle, including the pre-trip report (DVIR), ensuring the truck is loaded properly, the material is secured to the truck, delivery of materials to the customer location, and processing of all customer delivery paperwork.

• Safely operate a heavy-load truck.
• Ensure all material is properly secured at the beginning of the shift and continuously monitor after each delivery.
• Ensure that all customer supporting paperwork is completed and returned at the end of each shift.
• Collect, document, and properly secure money received to ensure alignment with customer paperwork.
• Report any issues or incidents related to material damage or customer matters to dispatch.
• Perform the daily truck inspection, pre- and post-trip (DVIR).
• Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor.
• Perform and document inspections to ensure truck and equipment are kept in good condition.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving.
• Possession of a CDL (type A or B) Commercial driver’s license.
• Proficient in driving manual transmission trucks.
• Capability to operate a gate lift.
• Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack.
• Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries.
• Ability to service all region’s distribution centers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Travel is required for this position.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
• Minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving.
